About me.

I'm Ric Peltier — or Richard Peltier, depending on how formal you want to be — a freelance illustrator and art director working in the great sunny north of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

I started freelancing back in 1999. But before that I worked for several ad agencies around Minneapolis, beginning in 1982. I've worked at large agencies and small agencies. My jobs have included working as a production paste-up grunt (way before there were such things as desktop computers), as an art director and as a graphic designer. Lately a bit of photography and web design have also crept into the mix. Although my advertising agency experience consisted mostly of art directing, my first love has always been illustrating. And I've been lucky enough to have created illustrations for such wonderful clients as Pillsbury, ADT, MindWare, GfK Custom Research, BI and Campbell Mithun Advertising.

As an art director, I've hired my fair share of freelancers, so I know first hand how important it is for a freelancer to be easy to work with. And how important it is for the freelancer to treat a project with utmost professionalism.

So, if you need a logo designed, a brochure created, an ad campaign developed or some concepts illustrated give me a call. It would be great to hear from you and it'll be fun talking about your project.
